Bush and beach together
Game drives, boat safaris and beach time in one destination.
Wildlife Parks · Coastal Tanzania
Where the bush meets the beach.
Saadani National Park is the only wildlife park in Tanzania that meets the Indian Ocean, so you can follow a morning game drive with an afternoon on a quiet beach. The park combines savannah, coastal forest, mangroves, the Wami River and a long stretch of golden sand.
It is one of the easiest safaris to reach from Dar es Salaam, and a short flight from Zanzibar makes it a creative way to add wildlife to a beach holiday. It is also a good choice for families and first-time visitors who want a gentler introduction to the bush.
The animals here are not as dense as in the northern parks, but the setting, the boat safaris and the combination of sea and bush make Saadani unusual and relaxing.
